Job summary

Schindler Group in Irvine, CA seeks a Field Supt MOD to lead field technicians during elevator modernization projects. You will supervise, train, and align crews with quality and safety standards, while coordinating with unions and supporting bid development.

The role requires strong communication, 3+ years in elevators or related field, and a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Competitive benefits accompany a comprehensive base salary in the listed range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in related field.
• Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred.
• Supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.
• Must communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
• Computer proficiency required; SAP and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build a team environment by leading field technicians
• Manage training and development of field technicians on established processes, tools and standards
• Foster excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local union
• Assure that each modernization project meets Company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements.
• Monitor job completion and drive efficiency
• Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for modernization projects
• Support the local sales team in estimating modernization bids and investigating and resolving customer complaints
• Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees
• Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Elevator Company products, services and procedures
