Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Education Administration, Social Sciences or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of related professional experience working with data analysis, reporting, or administrative systems.
• Knowledge of databases and querying (e.g., SQL).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Proven performance with Microsoft Office 365 applications with specific knowledge of Excel.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and document innovative and user-friendly reports, dashboards, and visualizations for operational and analysis needs of IR to inform strategic planning and policy development.
• Cleanses, transforms, and validates data from a wide variety of sources.
• Be a liaison with IT to develop new and innovative tools to keep IR on the cutting edge and operational efficiency
• Maintains existing reporting workflows, offering improvements where necessary.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across institutional systems.
• Assist with preparation and dissemination of reports and presentations as needed.
• Monitor Institutional Research's email account and disseminating data and other requests as appropriate in a timely manner.
• Assist in maintaining the IR website and in educating colleagues on the uses of institutional research and data in general.
• Represent the IR office and university by serving on various campus committees and through participation in external groups.
• Monitor data quality and identify discrepancies or inconsistencies.
• Support requests for data and information from campus stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security policies, and ethical standards.
