Job summary

The Association For Institutional Research in New York seeks a data-driven professional to transform campus data into actionable insights. You will extract, clean, and analyze data from the institutional data warehouse to inform administrators and external stakeholders.

You will develop reports and dashboards on admissions, enrollment, retention, graduation, and time-to-degree, and contribute to surveys and institutional effectiveness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required.
• Master's degree with coursework in research methodology, statistical analysis, data visualization, and survey research methods preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research studies and report findings to support institutional decision-making.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with data management, validation, analysis, and interpretation experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and statistical analysis software; experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools.
• Experience designing and administering surveys using Qualtrics and analyzing survey data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reports and presentations to executives and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, validate, and analyze institutional data from the data warehouse and other sources for administrators and stakeholders.
• Develop and update reports, dashboards, and visualizations related to admissions, enrollment, retention, graduation, and time-to-degree.
• Conduct institutional research studies to address strategic questions and support data-informed decisions.
• Maintain data warehouse through routine updates, QA, and documentation.
• Support survey initiatives including development, administration, analysis, and reporting of results.
• Interpret data and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and dashboards for diverse audiences.
• Maintain documentation of data definitions, reporting methodologies, and business rules.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify information needs and reporting requirements.
• Manage multiple projects, reporting cycles, and deadlines with attention to detail.
