Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to lead Intellectual Property Enforcement in the Americas, with a focus on PlayStation game protection, copyright, and online enforcement. The role requires coordinating with legal, technical, investigative, and security teams to address piracy, pre-release leaks, and unauthorized modifications across platforms.

The successful candidate will advise on DMCA processes, craft enforcement strategies, and support

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of U.S. copyright law and the DMCA.
Experience developing and executing IP enforcement strategies.
Ability to translate complex information into practical legal strategies.
Experience with online enforcement, investigations, anti-counterfeiting, and escalation to litigation.

Responsibilities

Serve as lead legal counsel for IP enforcement initiatives in the Americas.
Collaborate with PlayStation Studios, security, and production teams to mitigate content-protection risks.
Provide practical copyright advice on DMCA notice/takedown, counternotices, safe harbors, and fair use.
Support anti-counterfeiting efforts across online marketplaces and physical channels.
Develop enforcement policies, playbooks, and training for internal and external partners.
