Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel, Intellectual Property Litigation to join the Global Legal Team in San Mateo. You will defend and advance SIE’s IP across patents, trademarks, and copyrights, with opportunities to mentor teammates and develop AI-driven strategies.

You will lead high-stakes IP litigation, coordinate with outside counsel, and partner with leaders across regions to shape pre-litigation risk and strategy while upholding the highest professional

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Current member in good standing of a U.S. state bar; California Bar preferred.
• If not admitted in California, eligible to obtain Registered In-House Counsel status in California promptly upon hire.
• At least 12 years of experience handling IP litigation, including patent cases, in federal and state courts, with 4 years at a law firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage cutting-edge IP litigation, including coordinating with outside counsel on strategy and budgets.
• Respond to subpoenas and requests for information, documents, and testimony.
• Strategize with leadership on IP litigation risks and pre-litigation matters.
• Assist with developing policies, procedures, playbooks, and guidelines.
• Partner with colleagues in the UK, Europe, and Asia on international disputes and risk assessments.
• Mentor and train attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
