Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo, CA is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel for Intellectual Property Enforcement to oversee enforcement strategies for PlayStation IP. You will lead in-house matters, partner with product, security, and investigations teams, and advise on copyright, DMCA notices, and enforcement actions across the Americas.

Ideal candidates have 6–12 years of post-qualification experience in IP enforcement, a strong grasp of U.S.

Qualifications

• A qualified lawyer with 6–12 years of post-qualified experience in IP enforcement.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. copyright law and DMCA enforcement.
• Ability to coordinate with global legal, technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead legal counsel for IP enforcement across the Americas.
• Advise on DMCA notices, counternotices, safe harbors and takedowns.
• Develop and execute enforcement strategies for piracy, leaks, mods and circumvention.
• Collaborate with PlayStation Studios, production, security and release teams.
• Represent SIE in industry organizations and cross-functional partnerships.
