Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP seeks a Docketing Specialist to support our Intellectual Property practice. The role focuses on maintaining the docketing system, managing deadlines, and assisting attorneys with a range of administrative and docketing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This position may be located in Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio, Texas, with a hybrid policy requiring in-office presence as needed and potential remote work. Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree, preferred; in lieu of degree, 9 years experience.
• Experience with US and foreign trademark docketing.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Create records in the docketing database and manage due dates.
• Follow up with attorneys and paralegals on actions due.
• Docket and review US and foreign prosecution mail.
• Monitor daily dockets with attention to deadlines.
• Audit transfer files.
• Maintain knowledge of latest IP rules.
• Investigate docketing issues and questions.
