Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking a Docketing Specialist to support our Intellectual Property practice. The role focuses on maintaining the docketing system, deadlines, and tasks across US and foreign matters in a fast-paced environment.

The position is ideally located in Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio, Texas, with a hybrid policy requiring in-office presence as needed. Remote work may be possible unless requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; 9 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with US and foreign trademark docketing.
• Knowledge of docketing software applications is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Create records, docket due dates, and remove dates when needed.
• Cultivate relationships with attorneys/paralegals on actions due.
• Docket and review US and foreign prosecution mail and related matters.
• Monitor and update attorney dockets daily for deadlines.
• Intake and auditing of transfer files.
• Maintain knowledge of latest IP rules domestically and abroad.
• Investigate and troubleshoot docketing issues.
