Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking a Docketing Specialist to support the Intellectual Property practice. This role focuses on maintaining the docketing system, managing critical deadlines, and assisting attorneys with a broad range of administrative tasks.

The position is ideally located in Austin, Dallas, Houston or San Antonio, Texas, with a hybrid policy requiring in-office presence as needed. Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; in lieu of a degree, minimum 9 years of professional experience.
• Experience with US and foreign trademark docketing required.
• Knowledge of docketing software applications is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office products, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create records within the database and calendar due dates.
• Docket and review US and foreign prosecution mail and related matters.
• Monitor and update attorney dockets daily with attention to deadlines.
• Follow up with attorneys/paralegals regarding actions due and related tasks.
• Intake and auditing of transfer files.
• Maintain knowledge of latest IP rules, domestically and abroad.
