Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is hiring a Docketing Specialist to support the Intellectual Property practice. The role focuses on maintaining the docketing system, managing deadlines, and supporting attorneys across a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented, able to work independently and with teams, and comfortable with the hybrid policy requiring in-office presence as needed in Texas offices. This position may involve overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of degree, 9 years of professional experience required.
• Experience with US and foreign trademark docketing required.
• Knowledge of docketing software applications is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented

Responsibilities

• Create records in the database, docketing or calendaring due dates, and de-docketing or removing due dates when appropriate.
• Cultivate relationships and follow up with attorneys and/or paralegals regarding actions due and related tasks.
• Docket and review US and foreign prosecution mail, including opposition, interference and/or appellate matters.
• Monitor and update attorney dockets daily with attention to approaching deadlines.
• Intake and auditing of transfer files.
• Maintain knowledge of latest IP rules, domestically and abroad.
• Investigate and troubleshoot docketing issues
