Job summary

Alumni Ventures is looking for an Associate Community Manager to support our investor community and gain hands-on exposure to venture capital, investor relations, and fund operations. You’ll work with investors, Managing Partners, and cross-functional teams to support fundraising, engagement, and operational processes.

Ideal candidates show a client-centered mindset, strong communication, and a willingness to learn about investing and venture ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer-facing roles.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently.
• Interest in learning about investing, venture capital, startups, or related business topics.
• Ability to learn and effectively use new systems, tools, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a day-to-day contact for prospective and existing investors; respond to questions via email, phone, webinars, events, and other channels.
• Build strong relationships with investors, community members, and internal stakeholders; deliver high-touch, service-oriented experiences.
• Collaborate with Managing Partners, Community Managers, and senior leaders on fundraising initiatives, fund operations, and events.
• Track engagement activity and key metrics; keep data in HubSpot and other systems; support leadership with reporting.
• Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives; take on increasing ownership as you grow.
