Job summary

Jobot is hosting an Inventory Controller contract in California. You will maintain inventory records, perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and process work orders and material movements using Microsoft Dynamics 365. You will collaborate with manufacturing to ensure materials are available to meet production needs and support lean initiatives.

This hourly, non-exempt role is a W2 position, paid weekly through Jobot, and offers benefits and 401(k) participation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) for inventory transactions, work orders, and materials tracking.
• Knowledge of cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, material staging/kitting, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform transactions in D365.
• Conduct cycle counts, verification, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
• Pull, stage, and kit materials for manufacturing work orders.
• Process work orders, pick lists, material issues/returns, and inventory adjustments.
• Monitor shortages/overages and resolve inventory issues affecting production.
• Replenish stock from the stockroom to production cells using Kanban and POS replenishment.
• Return excess materials to inventory and ensure transactions are recorded.
• Keep the stockroom organized, accurate, and efficient.
• Support physical inventory counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure materials meet production needs.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in inventory flow.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
