Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in a medium to large warehouse in a management capacity.
  • 2+ years as a Quality Manager and 2+ years as an Inventory Manager.
  • Knowledge of ISO, HACCP, 21CFR, FDA, SQF preferred.
  • Ability to operate in unregulated warehouse temperatures.
  • Experience with RF scanners, WMS functions, and Excel.
  • Quality certifications preferred; forklift training may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain warehouse inventory and quality development.
  • Monitor inventory levels and product movement.
  • Control non-conforming product to facilitate order fulfillment
  • Support quality activities for receiving, shipping, and related warehouse functions
  • Track, investigate, and correct over/short/damage issues
  • Oversee inventory and quality associates and staff
  • Input data into the WMS
  • Stack and store products in appropriate areas
  • Maintain and enhance client relationships
  • Develop and monitor space utilization and layout plans
  • Develop and maintain product locator systems
  • Delegate work, supervise shifts, and evaluate team members
  • Analyze cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, audit errors, and correct records
  • Lead physical inventory activities
  • Research audit trails and implement corrective actions

Job description


  • Support and maintain warehouse inventory and quality development, improvement, implementation, accuracy, and records

  • Monitor inventory levels and product movement

  • Control and isolate non-conforming product mix to facilitate efficient order fulfillment

  • Support quality activities for receiving, shipping, and related warehouse functions

  • Track, investigate, and correct over, short, and damage issues

  • Oversee inventory and quality associates and other staff

  • Input accurate data into the WMS

  • Stack and store products in appropriate areas

  • Maintain and enhance client relationships

  • Develop and monitor space utilization and layout plans

  • Develop and maintain product locator systems

  • Delegate work, oversee shifts, and evaluate team members

  • Analyze cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, audit error reports, and correct inventory records

  • Analyze WMS reports, stock transactions, miscellaneous receipts, and issues

  • Lead physical inventory activities

  • Research inventory audit trails and implement corrective actions

  • Drive process improvements and prepare monthly project and problem reports

  • Assist with associate relations and training

  • Audit warehouse compliance with safety, security, quality, GMP, and FDA requirements

  • Maintain QMS documentation, procedures, work instructions, and visuals

  • Recommend procedures and standards to maintain process quality

  • Support client-related and applicable QMS requirements

  • Coordinate 5 Star Site Certification Program requirements

  • Manage Quality & Training requirements and train site personnel on QMS components

  • Serve as primary contact for internal and external audits and develop action plans

  • Coordinate recalls, hold notifications, and stop-shipments

  • Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to site and clients

  • Sponsor the site Training Program and coordinate training documentation

  • Perform other assigned duties to achieve site and client satisfaction


Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Preferred 5 years’ experience in a medium to large warehouse in a management capacity

  • 2 years’ experience as a Quality Manager

  • 2 years’ experience as an Inventory Manager

  • Preferred knowledge of ISO, HACCP, 21CFR, FDA, and SQF

  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate

  • Strong computer skills and MS Office Applications

  • Experience with RF scanners, WMS functions, and Microsoft Excel

  • Quality-related certifications preferred

  • Satisfactory completion of forklift training program

  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills

  • Intermediate mathematical skills for verifying product quantities and counting inventory

  • Effective communication, supervisory, and people skills

  • Ability to develop work instructions, procedures, and visual aids

  • Ability to work extra hours as dictated by business needs

  • Training and/or certification in inventory management methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma and Lean

  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills

  • Ability to teach, coach, mentor, and support project team members

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 21–50 pounds

  • Ability to wear PPE and follow safety standards
