Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Kentucky to manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping with accuracy and efficiency.

You will lead tasks, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards while maintaining precise inventory records and using WMS and Order Management systems.

Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a warehouse.
  • Ability to perform physically exerting duties in a warehouse setting.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with Order Management System / inventory systems.
  • Basic clerical and data entry skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee handling of customer products, including loading, unloading, picking, and packing.
  • Assign warehouse tasks and work functions through written and/or oral instruction.
  • Supervise tasks performed by warehouse personnel.
  • Complete reports and records in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot machine and equipment malfunctions and report them to maintenance personnel.
  • Advise associates on product care and equipment use.
  • Assist associates in warehouse functions to ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Address failures to follow safety, quality, and productivity procedures.
  • Work cooperatively and productively with warehouse associates and leadership.
  • Adhere to company and site-specific safety policies and guidelines.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and bin location variances.
  • Research problem orders and receipts.
  • Input data into the order management system.
  • Maintain inventory and bin accuracy through system entries.
  • Perform quality functions to standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and perform product counts.
  • Ensure quality assurance processes and procedures are followed.
  • Stage materials within designated areas.
  • Operate necessary warehouse equipment and tools.
  • Use a warehouse management system to maintain work documents.
  • Move materials weighing 50 lbs. or more at times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to perform physically exerting duties in a warehouse environment, including fluctuating indoor temperatures.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working with Order management system / inventory systems in a high volume facility.
  • Basic clerical and data entry skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Ability to transport up to 20 lbs. and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to work constructively under stress and pressure with high workloads and deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively use relevant material handling equipment, including forklifts.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and convey necessary information.
  • Availability for occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
