Job description

• Maintain perpetual record integrity and inventory accuracy while maximizing facility space utilization


• Monitor inventory levels, product movement, and non-conforming or damaged product


• Ensure a conforming product mix that supports efficient order fulfillment


• Oversee inventory associates and other department staff


• Input data accurately into the WMS


• Develop and monitor space utilization, space layout, and product locator plans


• Delegate work and responsibilities to subordinates


• Oversee shifts and evaluate inventory staff performance


• Analyze daily and directed cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies


• Audit daily error reports and correct issues


• Analyze and publish monthly WMS cycle-count variance data


• Validate stock-change transactions, miscellaneous receipts, and issues


• Lead physical inventory activities and use the online Inventory Audit Trail for corrective-action research


• Drive process improvements and prepare monthly reports on major problems and projects


• Maintain client relationships


• Assist with associate relations, training, development, and evaluations


• Audit the warehouse for safety, security, quality, cleanliness, and orderliness


• Communicate with DSV representatives and clients; prepare corrective/preventive actions, reports, attendance follow-ups, counseling memos, and evaluations


• Conduct daily startup meetings, coordinate operations with management, address issues, and support team development


• Provide management with labor and equipment needs information


• Develop team leaders and ensure associate expectations are met


• Partner with leadership to communicate policies and procedures


• Ensure training on product placement and equipment usage

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)


• 4 years’ experience in Distribution/Logistics


• 2 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment in a supervisory role


• Able to operate MHE


• Able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate during warmer and colder months


• Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation


• Able to work overtime, mandatory or voluntary as dictated by business


• Must maintain accurate and professional communications


• Must follow company safety, security, quality, and other rules
