Job summary

Jobtailor in Reno, NV is seeking a Quality and Inventory Coordinator to support safety and quality compliance across warehouse operations. You will maintain the QMS data, participate in audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to handle basic statistical control methods.
  • Must have previous Inventory experience.
  • Current or previous experience with Quality Management System.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Windows, or Visio.
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills.
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
  • Previous experience working with Internal Audits, Document Control, and Corrective Action plans.
  • Must comply with OSHA/MSDS Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate safety and quality functions and assist the Supervisor with warehouse safety and quality compliance.
  • Implement identified safety and training programs and associated operations.
  • Maintain the Document Control Center and Quality System data and records.
  • Support, document, and follow up on Internal Audits, QMS/QIS, and corrective actions.
  • Update visual aids, process instructions, quality procedures, corrective and preventive actions, and client documentation.
  • Generate and update control charts and Quality QOS.
  • Review and validate controlled documentation against QIS.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Work with the Supervisor to improve employee performance and services provided to other departments.
  • Perform plant tours to identify quality noncompliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation or area.
  • Develop new activities or projects as assigned.
  • Send Weekly Triggers files to suppliers on time.
  • Follow up on aged material and notify customers for disposition.
  • Manage excess and slow-moving inventory and seek disposition.
  • Maintain vendor/parts profiles and vendor, contact, and part information in the system.
  • Improve operational communication with suppliers and customers.
  • Prepare paperwork and backup data for return shipments.
  • Ensure customer responses meet customer service objectives.
  • Prepare reports and monitor compliance.
  • Coordinate cycle counts for Sync Report Analysis.
  • Participate in Customer/Internal Corrective Action and Improvement Plans.
  • Support other areas as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
