Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory control, receiving accuracy, and compliance routines that support store operations. The role handles receiving, adjustment, reconciliation, transfers, and reporting while partnering with the Store Operations Manager.

The updated operating model shifts ownership from front sidewalk/sidelot to backroom/dock activities, aligning with Operations leadership to ensure accurate stock and smooth customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving is preferred but not required.
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Reading, writing, and counting accurately are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, uncover needs, recommend solutions, and add value.
• Operate forklift, baler, and other store equipment as needed.
• Receive Direct POs and transfers; complete reconciliation and reporting.
• Stock and label freight and front/sidelot items per process standards.
• Complete daily and monthly inventory adjustments and reviews.
• Partner with Store Operations Manager on inventory control and compliance.
