Job summary

Tractor Supply Company in Montevallo, AL is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support store operations through inventory control, receiving accuracy, and compliance routines. The role covers receiving, adjustments, reconciliation, transfers, buyback/RTV, and reporting while partnering with the Store Operations Manager.

It involves ensuring regular attendance, flexibility in shifts, and executing Freight/OMNI tasks to maintain accurate stock and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts with varied hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover needs, Recommend solutions, Add value & appreciate the Customer.
• Deliver Legendary Service and reinforce leadership behaviors through Customer engagement and coaching.
• Complete forklift and propane inspections and propan e usage as required.
• Pull OMNI orders in the morning and support BOPIS/OMNI reconciliation routines.
• Complete BOPIS Reconciliation and other required reports.
• Receive Direct POs, Mixing Center freight, DC transfers, and related receiving tasks.
• Operate forklift and related equipment; assist customers with loading purchases.
