Job summary

White Cap is hiring an Inventory Control Associate to help keep our distribution center running smoothly in Kansas City, MO. You will audit inventory, resolve issues, and support accurate cycle counts while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You should be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, have attention to detail, and preferably experience with Oracle and warehouse management software. We offer strong benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in inventory control or similar.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with sales order software; Oracle preferred.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products helpful.

Responsibilities

• Audit inventory to balance systems during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve issues, adjustments and discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and complete follow ups on adjustments.
• Maintain time control tables and allocations.
• Receive products from vendors and check for quality.
• Maintain quality control and inventory manuals.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Follow company safety policy and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

An Inventory Control Associate at White Cap...

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve all issues, adjustments and discrepancies. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
• Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete follow up to all previous inventory adjustments. Completes and reviews cycle counts.
• Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.
• Receives products from vendors to check for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.
• Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
• Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
• Follows company safety policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 2-5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
