Job summary

White Cap Management LLC in Sulphur, LA is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to audit inventory, balance systems, and resolve discrepancies during daily order processing. You will receive products, check quality, and maintain strict control procedures while lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in inventory control or a similar role.
• Ability to perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Familiarity with internal control procedures and quality checks.
• Comfort with lifting up to 50 pounds and adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Audit inventory to keep systems balanced during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve issues, adjustments and discrepancies; ensure compliance with procedures.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy; perform cycle counts and follow up on adjustments.
• Receive products from vendors, check for quality, and communicate issues to buyers.
• Maintain inventory control manuals and time/allocations as required.
• Follow safety policy and perform other duties as assigned.

An Inventory Control Associate at White Cap...

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve all issues, adjustments and discrepancies. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
• Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete follow up to all previous inventory adjustments. Completes and reviews cycle counts.
• Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.
• Receives products from vendors to check for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.
• Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
• Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
• Follows company safety policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 2-5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
