Job summary

White Cap is hiring an Inventory Control Associate in Sulphur, LA. You will audit inventory, balance systems during daily order processing, and resolve discrepancies while maintaining accuracy and safety compliance.

Preferred candidates have 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, knowledge of Oracle or similar sales order software, and familiarity with construction materials. Forklift experience and Spanish are a plus. We offer strong benefits and room for growth.

• Maintains inventory accuracy through audits and cycle counts.
• Follows internal control procedures and safety policies.
• Communicates quality issues to buyers for resolution.

Responsibilities

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve issues, adjustments and discrepancies; ensure compliance with procedures.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy; complete follow up to prior adjustments; review cycle counts.
• Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables and allocations.
• Receive products from vendors; check quality and communicate issues to buyers.
• Keep inventory control manuals up to date; ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

An Inventory Control Associate at White Cap…

Preferred Qualifications

• - Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• - Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
