Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an Inventory Control associate to ensure accuracy and integrity of store inventory. The role involves cycle counting, reviewing shipments, and auditing multiple inventory processes to prevent shrink and discrepancies.

The position requires at least one year in inventory control in a large retail setting, strong MS Office skills, and excellent attention to detail. It offers both full-time and part-time hours in a warehouse environment with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• One year of inventory control experience in a big box retail company or equivalent
• Point of sale analysis and reporting experience
• Business analysis experience is a plus
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Follow the daily cycle count and category review calendar
• Research all inventory discrepancies and adjust in the inventory system
• Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy
• Notify department managers of discrepancies in tagging or SKUing merchandise
• Audit the BFR daily per SOP and incoming/outgoing trucks per schedule
• Audit SRR, RTV, and Return of Sale processes for accuracy
• Audit to ensure RTVs are processed per SOP
• Audit customer merchandise storage area weekly and resolve issues with CEM/Operations Manager
• Assist Operations Manager during physical inventory periods
• Ensure Sample tape is applied to all wood boxes written off to Sam and address if missing
• Run the OSDR Report monthly to ensure correct movement of merchandise and correct discrepancies
• Document findings/corrections and submit monthly to the Operations Manager for review
