Job summary

Floor & Decor in Miami, FL is seeking an inventory control associate responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the store’s inventory. The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities.

You will perform daily cycle counts, review shipping/receiving docs, and research discrepancies to ensure precise tagging and SKUing of merchandise. The ideal candidate has at least one year of inventory control experience, strong Excel skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• One year of inventory control experience in a big box retail setting or equivalent education/experience.
• Demonstrated point of sale analysis and reporting experience.
• Business analysis experience is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding and compliance with safe lifting procedures.
• Follow the daily cycle count and category review calendar.
• Research inventory discrepancies and make adjustments in the system.
• Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.
• Notify managers of tagging/SKU discrepancies.
• Audit the BFR daily per SOP.
• Audit incoming and outgoing trucks regularly.
• Audit the Return of Sale (SOR) process per SOP.
• Audit the SRR process for Voids and Partial voids.
• Audit RTVs to ensure proper processing per SOP.
• Ensure facility security by flagging issues to management.
• Review customer storage area and resolve issues with CEM/Operations Manager.
• Assist Operations Manager during physical inventories.
• Apply 'Sample' tape to boxes written off to 'Sam' and escalate if missing.
• Run various inventory reports monthly and document findings for review.
