Job summary

Floor & Decor seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to manage daily cycle counts, verify receiving accuracy, and audit inventory movements in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires at least one year in inventory control within a big-box retail setting, with strong attention to detail and customer-service skills. Physical inventory support and collaboration with management are essential to maintain accuracy and shrink control.

Qualifications

• One year of inventory control experience in a “big box” retail company or equivalent education/experience.
• Demonstrated point of sale analysis and reporting experience.
• Business analysis experience is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe lifting practices and SOPs.
• Run daily cycle counts and category reviews.
• Audit inventory discrepancies in the system and adjust as needed.
• Review shipping/receiving documents for accuracy.
• Flag tagging/SKU discrepancies to department managers.
• Audit BFR, SRR, RTV processes per SOP.
• Ensure security of the facility and timely issue resolution.
• Communicate discrepancies to Store Management and propose fixes.
• Maintain cycle count paperwork and verify changes implemented.
