Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a dependable Inventory Control specialist to ensure accuracy and integrity of the store's inventory. Role covers daily cycle counts, discrepancy research, and SAP-like SKU tagging oversight in a fast-paced retail environment.

Minimum one year in inventory control with strong Excel/Office skills, customer service, and attention to detail. Full-time opportunities available at Floor & Decor locations in Texas.

Qualifications

• One year of inventory control experience in a big-box retail company or equivalent.
• Demonstrated POS analysis and reporting experience.
• Business analysis experience is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding and compliance with safety SOPs.
• Follow the daily cycle count and category review calendar.
• Research all inventory-related discrepancies and adjust in the inventory system.
• Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.
• Notify department managers of discrepancies in tagging or SKUing merchandise.
• Audit the BFR daily per SOP and related processes.
• Audit incoming and outgoing trucks for accuracy.
• Audit the SOR and SRR processes per Return of Sale SOP.
• Audit RTVs to ensure proper processing per SOP.
• Audit security of the facility and report issues to management.
• Audit customer merchandise storage area and resolve issues with CEM/Operations.
• Assist Operations Manager during physical inventory periods.
• Ensure 'Sample' tape is applied to boxed items written off to 'Sam'.
• Run relevant reports monthly to verify movement and correct discrepancies.
• Document findings and submit reports to the Operations Manager.
