Job summary

U‑Haul is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to safeguard inventory accuracy and ensure product availability across a large, multi-location retail network in Phoenix, AZ. You will own the day-to-day control loop, coordinating with field operations, procurement, and home office to prevent stockouts and data errors.

The role emphasizes hands-on analysis, exception triage, replenishment planning, and continuous improvement of tools and reports used by field teams and the center.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in inventory control or multi‑unit retail supply chain.
• Proven experience investigating inventory discrepancies and driving corrective action.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and ERP/WMS familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to brief executives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory exception reports and investigate variances by location.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and assign owners until resolution.
• Maintain min‑max and safety‑stock parameters across SKUs and regions.
• Prepare opening packets for new locations and remodels.
• Own and improve POS inventory tools and BI reports.
• Provide guidance to 2,500 field locations and become a SME on policies.
