Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for an Inventory Control Associate in Austin, Texas. You will audit inventory, maintain accuracy, and support daily order processing in a fast-paced environment. The role combines warehouse and office work.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of inventory experience, knowledge of stock control, and proficiency with Office 365; forklift experience is a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve issues, adjustments and discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and complete follow-ups on adjustments.
• Receive products from vendors and check for quality.
• Communicate potential quality issues to buyers.
• Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
• Follows company safety policy and procedures.

An Inventory Control Associate at White Cap…

• Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
• Research and resolve all issues, adjustments and discrepancies. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.
• Assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. Complete follow up to all previous inventory adjustments. Completes and reviews cycle counts.
• Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key and review allocations.
• Receives products from vendors to check for quality. Communicates potential quality issues to buyers.
• Maintains quality control and inventory control manuals.
• Lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
• Follows company safety policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 2-5 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction or industrial products.
• Inventory control and replenishment experience.
• Proficient in Office 365 and similar inventory/purchasing systems.
• Detail-oriented with accurate recordkeeping and follow-through.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Experience working with vendors and branch/operations teams.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
• Spanish language proficiency.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
