Job summary

TGW Systems Inc. is seeking a Process and Software Consultant to support the Sales team in winning profitable business by ensuring TGW solutions can be implemented and operated within a client’s WCS/WMS environment.

The role begins with interfacing with project leads, IT, and operations to analyze current distribution processes and to translate findings into viable, optimized designs for delivery at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in high-level design or operation of diverse intralogistics or comparable software systems, or related.
• Travel up to 25% (domestic and international) required.

Responsibilities

• Visits prospect sites to understand operating environments.
• Provides software and IT responses for RFIs, RFPs, and IT assessments.
• Participates in prospect calls, design meetings, and review sessions.
• Collaborates with prospects' IT and software organizations.
• Develops process maps, detailed requirements, and feature set documents.
• Creates WCS/WMS scope split documents.
• Collaborates on software designs with the realization team and IT infrastructure designs with internal IT.
• Provides input for software cost estimates and assists in developing proposal documentation.
• Collaborates in hand-over to the software realization team and with solutions design, project coaching, and application engineering teams.
• Reads and analyzes RFPs, validates data analysis, and PPT slides.
• Provides input for simulation definitions and results evaluation.
• Participates in WCS to PLC integration designs and realization design sessions with clients.
• Reviews and provides input to the software functional specification document.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
