Job summary

TGW Logistics is actively seeking a Technical Sales Consultant in Grand Rapids, MI to drive LTS sales with deep technical expertise and compelling presentations. You will educate customers on TGW’s catalog, tailor solutions, and deliver accurate quotes while collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
• Prior experience in technical sales roles, selling engineering solutions, services, equipment, or related.
• Thorough understanding of material handling systems and automation technologies; direct knowledge of TGW portfolio preferred.
• Experience developing and managing relationships with customers; excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Maintains thorough, up-to-date knowledge of TGW’s catalog and provides in-depth technical expertise to educate customers on TGW’s product and service offerings.
• Develops and delivers targeted sales campaigns to meet strategic sales goals.
• Proactively assesses customer processes and engineering operations to identify opportunities for sales and business growth within existing LTS portfolio.
• Maintains relationships and liaises with customers to understand their specific needs and challenges and partners with internal sales, realization, and operations teams to develop custom solutions tailored to address such needs.
• Leads costing, quoting, and contract development activities by serving as subject matter expert on technical offerings.
• Develops presentations, conducts demonstrations, and delivers technical support as needed throughout cradle-to-grave sales process.
