Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support specialized angiographic and interventional procedures under physician supervision. You will perform surgical scrub, circulation duties, patient prep, and post-procedure care while maintaining safety and image quality.

ARRT in Radiology or RCIS and BLS are required, with experience in fluoroscopy preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program or RCIS graduate.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or RCIS registry required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures under physician direction.
• Explains the procedure to the patient and preps the patient for the procedure.
• Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner or credentialed staff.
• Circulates during the procedure and maintains patient comfort.
• Provides supplies necessary for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
• Removes catheters/sheaths and applies direct pressure or clamp as appropriate.
• Provides necessary report information to the holding area or nursing unit as needed.
• Records and processes hemodynamic reports, contrast media records and charges promptly and accurately.
