Job summary

Mission Hospital, part of Mission Health in Asheville, NC, seeks a Special Procedures Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures with sterile technique and assist physicians during procedures. This role requires ARRT credentials or equivalent and LRS within set timelines.

You will contribute to emergent care with independent judgment in a high-stakes environment. Qualifications include an Associate Degree and BCLS within 30 days of start date; ARRT-R or ARRT-CI

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree required.
• ARRT-R Radiography or ARRT-CI Cardiac Interventional Radiography must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures using sterile techniques.
• Operate angiographic equipment and assist physicians by scrubbing and circulating during procedures.
• Respond to emergent procedures (e.g., Code Strokes) as determined by on-call physician.
• Demonstrate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative; manage designated areas and procedures.
