Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist in invasive angiographic and interventional procedures. You will perform radiography and fluoroscopy under physician guidance and support patient preparation and care.

Requires ARRT Radiology or RCIS, BLS, and ideally 1 year in diagnostic and 1 year in Interventional Radiology. The role includes preparing medications/contrast, circulating during procedures, recording reports, and ensuring safety under

ARRT certification in Radiology or RCIS registry is required.
BLS certification is required.
1 year in diagnostic and 1 year in Interventional Radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage under a physician.
Explains the procedure to the patient and preps the patient for the procedure.
Obtains medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration.
Circulates during the procedure and maintains patient comfort.
Provides supplies necessary for diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.
Removes catheters/sheaths and applies direct pressure or clamp as appropriate.
Provides necessary report information to the holding area or nursing unit as needed.
Records and processes hemodynamic reports, contrast media records and charges promptly and accurately.
