Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to position and immobilize patients, perform radiographic imaging, and assist in complex neurovascular and vascular procedures. The role requires ARRT registration and AMA-approved radiologic technology training.

You will work with radiologists and surgeons, maintaining sterile technique, monitoring equipment, and ensuring efficient room turnover while communicating clearly with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Must have attended an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology and be ARRT registered.
• Ability to perform interventional radiology procedures with supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients to obtain correct anatomy and optimal image quality.
• Obtain radiographic DSA/DA images and transmit to PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Set up monitoring systems and interpret normal ranges.
• Assist in complex interventional neurovascular procedures and other vascular procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare examination rooms and supplies.
• Explain examinations to patients and families; ensure patient safety and flow of procedures.
