Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures in alignment with practice standards and organizational values. The role involves setting up the interventional suite, ensuring aseptic technique, patient positioning, and accurate documentation of procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, following safety protocols, and adapting to provider preferences.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate’s degree or technical certification; or 6 months to 1 year of related experience or training.
• ARRT Radiography Certification and Registration required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Set up interventional suite with instruments and supplies.
• Apply aseptic technique; follow policy for medication, contrast, and specimen handling.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning and draping for interventional procedures.
• Adapt to provider preferences and update related material as needed.
• Complete all required procedure documentation including regulatory and billing processes; ensure image distribution.
• Maintain supplies and participate in inventory control for efficient department operation.
• Implement radiation protection and patient safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
