Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with independent judgment. The role includes preparing patients, educating them about procedures and ensuring safety and quality control of equipment.

The position requires an ARRT Radiography certification within 6 months of hire, CPR, and adherence to HIPAA and safety policies. A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is offered with a 3-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; OR six months to one-year related experience and/or training; OR equivalent education and experience.
• Prior radiology experience (Preferred).
• ARRT Radiography certification within 6 months of hire (or 12 months if employed before April 2026).
• CPR certification and background clearances may be required.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient and performs radiographic imaging procedures with appropriate exposure factors and parameters.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered; monitors patient status.
• Ensures safety, performs quality control, and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
