Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures with independent judgment and initiative. A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is available with a 3-year commitment.

The role requires positioning patients, selecting exposure factors, and ensuring image quality through QC and safety practices. Responsibilities include educating patients, reviewing orders, administering contrast media when ordered, monitoring patient status, and assisting

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results and identifies image quality issues; relocates patient and repeats procedures as needed.
• Reviews patient history and orders; educates patient about procedures, equipment and exam to ensure cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope; monitors patient condition and responds to changes.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; follows safety standards and performs QC on equipment; troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
