Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform prescribed imaging procedures with independent judgment and initiative. You will position patients, analyze images, and ensure quality while coordinating with physicians on orders.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, administering contrast when needed, monitoring patient status, and maintaining safety standards. Prior experience and ARRT certification within 6 months are valued; sign-on bonus applies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• ARRT Radiography certification required within 6 months of hire (incumbents before Apr 2026 have 12 months).
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and perform imaging procedures; analyze and report results; manage image quality issues.
• Review patient history and educate patient about procedures to ensure cooperation.
• Administer contrast media and/or medications when ordered; monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters; perform quality control and troubleshoot equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
