Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures with independent judgment and initiative. The role includes positioning patients, reviewing orders, educating patients, and ensuring safety and image quality.

The candidate will prepare and administer contrast media when ordered, monitor patient condition, and troubleshoot equipment. Certification and background checks are required, with a defined sign-on bonus and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or related experience.
• ARRT radiography certification is required within 6 months of hire (or 12 months if hired before April 2026).

Responsibilities

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures with attention to image quality and patient safety.
• Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate; monitors patient condition.
• Sets up equipment, selects exposure factors, ensures safety standards, and performs quality control.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
