Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures in accordance with scope and standards of practice and with the organization’s policies and mission. The role involves preparing the interventional suite, aseptic technique, patient positioning, documentation, inventory control, and adherence to radiation safety standards.

Requires an associate degree or technical certification and ARRT radiography certification; VI certification within 24

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certification from a technical school or 6–12 months related experience.
• Radiography Certification and Registration (ARRT) required.
• CPR certification required; VI certification within 24 months of hire is expected/required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Set up interventional suite with instruments and supplies.
• Follow aseptic techniques and standard precautions; handle medications, contrast, and specimens safely.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping to ensure correct site.
• Update interventional provider preference materials as needed.
• Complete documentation for procedures, regulatory and billing purposes; distribute images.
• Maintain supplies and participate in inventory control.
• Implement radiation protection and patient safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
