Advanced Radiology Consultants in Fairfield, CT seeks an Interventional Radiology Scheduler to join our patient-centered team. This full-time clerical role blends front-desk customer care with scheduling for interventional and vein center procedures.

You will verify benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, book and confirm appointments, and support staff and physicians to ensure smooth, compassionate patient care and efficient operations. Weekend coverage on a rotating basis is required.

Qualifications

• Greet patients with warmth and exceptional service.
• Review submitted documentation to support imaging or procedures; obtain authorizations.
• Book and confirm appointments; pre-screen and collect required lab work.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with warmth, compassion, and commitment to service.
• Conduct thorough review of documentation and obtain required authorizations.
• Book and confirm appointments; pre-screen and obtain lab work when needed.
• Complete patient admission process accurately and efficiently.
• Obtain pre-authorization for imaging appointments and coordinate with departments.
• Verify patient benefits with Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurers.
• Ensure patient insurance information is current and accurate.
• Interact with internal and external customers to provide outstanding service.
• Proof interventional schedules to confirm all authorizations and preparatory steps.
• Know multiple interventional procedures and radiologists’ capabilities.
• Maintain multiple schedules and adapt to changes for patients and physicians.
• Explain exam preps and address patient questions; escalate as needed.
• Weekend hours on rotating schedule.
