Qualifications

• Educational requirements include an Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
• Licensure: Registered in Radiography (ARRT) and state licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• ACLS certification within 1 year is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material as ordered by physician and monitors for reactions.
• Supervised by a physicist or dosimetrist for all functions.
• Assists with inventory and supplies.
• Ensures correct patient identification and documentation.
• Instructs new staff as necessary.
• Performs essential radiologic technologist duties and on-call or variable shifts.
