Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist for the Heart & Vascular Institute. You will assist physicians in invasive cardiology and radiology studies, ensuring patient safety and accurate imaging. The role includes on-call duties and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology, ARRT (R) certification, IL licensure, and ACLS within one year. Sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered in Radiography (R) with ARRT and state licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• ACLS certification within 1 year as required.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material as requested by the physician and responds to hypersensitivity.
• Supervision by a physicist or dosimetrist for all functions.
• Assists with inventory and supplies.
• Verifies patient identity, diagnosis, and treatment position.
• Documents clinical information accurately per policy.
• Educates new staff as needed.
• Explains procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Performs essential Radiologic Technologist functions.
• Performs on-call duties or variable shifts as needed.
