Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute. You will assist physicians during invasive cardiology and radiology procedures, provide patient care, and support the team with equipment and supplies.

Applicants must have ARRT registration, an active radiography license, ACLS within 1 year, and an associate degree or degree/certificate in Radiologic Technology. This on-site role includes a sign-on bonus and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiography with current credentials
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (IEMA)
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician request and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions
• Under supervision, performs essential radiologic duties and supports physicist/dosimetrist during procedures
• Assists with inventory and supplies and ensures correct patient/chart identification
• Documents procedures accurately and communicates with patients to ensure comfort and confidentiality
• Takes call and may work variable shifts to meet department needs
• Performs cardiac cath lab-related procedures and assists in hybrid peripheral vascular work when required
