Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Radiologic Technologist to join the Heart & Vascular Institute. The role supports physicians during invasive cardiology and radiology procedures and contributes to patient care and team effectiveness.

This position offers a sign-on bonus and requires ARRT registration, state licensure, and ACLS within one year. You will work under supervision and participate in ongoing training to maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered in Radiography (ARRT).
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - IEMA.
• ACLS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast material per physician’s request and monitors for hypersensitivity or reactions.
• All functions under supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
• Assists with inventory/supplies.
• Checks patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
• Compiles pertinent clinical information related to labs and pathology.
• Assists in instruction of new staff as necessary.
• Documents accurately according to policies and procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Performs essential functions of Radiologic Technologist.
• Performs on-call duties and/or variable shifts as assigned.
