Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati seeks a Special Procedures and Cath Lab Technologist to assist the Licensed Practitioner in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures, while maintaining sterile technique and documenting medications and radiation exposure per laws and policy.

This role involves patient preparation, coordinating with referring physicians, reviewing the EMR, and supporting safety and teamwork within the lab. ARRT/CCI certification is required; BLS is required, ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred).
• ARRT or CCI certification/registration required.
• BLS required (preferred at hire).
• ACLS and CV/Interventional Radiography are preferred.
• Vascular-Interventional Radiology credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality diagnostic vascular lab exams using ultrasound and physiologic testing equipment.
• Prepares patients for procedures, explains the procedure and provides instruction to reduce anxiety.
• Contacts referring physician for clarification before exams if order may be incorrect.
• Uses EMR to review patient data and document findings per policy.
• Completes tasks timely and adheres to safety, infection control and confidentiality standards.
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive vascular exams and understands vascular anatomy.
• Works within an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
