Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a qualified Special Procedures and Cath Lab Technologist to support fluoroscopic and interventional procedures. You will assist licensed practitioners, prepare patients, and document medications and radiation exposure according to policy.

Role requires ARRT certification, BLS, and experience with vascular ultrasound and physiologic testing. Collaborative team environment with Mercy Health values and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification/registration required or ARRT registry eligible.
• BLS certification required or on hire (must obtain prior to direct patient care).
• ACLS preferred.
• CV-Interventional or VI-Interventional ARRT/ARRT CV(R) or ARRt(VI) preferred.
• State licensure preferred if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist Licensed Practitioner in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures to minimize anxiety and gain cooperation.
• Coordinate with referring physicians for order accuracy and clarification.
• Use electronic medical record to review data, enter preliminary reports, and document critical findings.
• Complete tasks promptly and adhere to safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards.
• Demonstrate Mercy Health mission and policies, reporting unethical or unlawful acts.
• Operate within safety policies and protect patient confidentiality.
• Perform non-invasive vascular exams with proficiency and knowledge of vascular anatomy.
• Correlate vascular exam results with other hospital procedures.
