Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Special Procedures and Cath Lab Technologist in Ohio to assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures with sterile technique. You will prepare, document and monitor medications and radiation exposure in compliance with laws and hospital policy.

You will perform vascular studies, prepare patients, coordinate with physicians, and document findings in the EMR while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registration required
• BLS required (American Heart Association)
• ACLS preferred
• ARRT(R) Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography and Vascular-Interventional Radiology credentials preferred
• State licensure preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality diagnostic vascular laboratory examinations using ultrasound and physiologic testing equipment.
• Prepares patients for procedures and explains the procedure to minimize anxiety.
• Contacts referring physician for clarification prior to exams when order accuracy is in question.
• Uses the EMR to review patient information, enter preliminary reporting and document critical findings.
• Completes tasks in a timely manner while adhering to safety and infection control policies.
• Complies with Mercy Health mission, values and corporate responsibility policies.
