Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Special Procedures and Cath Lab Technologist to assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures, maintain sterile technique, and document medication and radiation exposure in accordance with laws and policies.

The role requires ARRT/CCI registration, BLS; ACLS preferred. Experience in vascular exams and EPIC/EHR exposure are expected, with Mercy Health offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registration required.
• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required)
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – (preferred)
• Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography ARRT (R)(CV) (preferred)
• Vascular-Interventional Radiology ARRT (R)(VI) (preferred)
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by the state)

Responsibilities

• Assist in fluoroscopic and interventional procedures using sterile technique.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide explanations to reduce anxiety.
• Contact referring physician for clarification prior to exams.
• Use EMR to review patient data, enter preliminary reporting, and document findings.
• Complete tasks promptly and in line with department policy.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality policies.
