ACCEL Schools is hiring an Intervention Specialist for South Columbus Preparatory Academy- Southfield in Columbus, Ohio. You will support students with educational, behavioral, and social needs, focusing on those eligible for special education and related services.

Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, conducting assessments, writing behavior plans, and facilitating IEP meetings while engaging families and maintaining high instructional standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in full inclusion or co-teaching settings.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of state and Common Core standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and daily classroom tech.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to interpret student needs and adjust instruction.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and implement improvement plans.
• Lead and document IEP meetings and goals.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
• Support planning of non-instructional activities and events.
