Job summary

Foundation Academy in Mansfield, Ohio, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support students with IEP goals in an inclusive classroom. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, diagnostic assessments, behavior support, and writing and implementing goals.

You will lead IEP meetings, monitor progress, and communicate with families while applying research-based strategies and culturally responsive practices.

Qualifications

• Current state license required.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full-room inclusion or resource room co-teaching.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers to interpret student abilities and adjust interventions.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals and objectives.
• Monitor student achievement and culture, align with state goals.
• Communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
